Chinook Guild of Fibre Arts 

The Chinook Guild of Fibre Arts (CGFA) is a Calgary-based guild in fibre arts including quilting, rug hooking, and needlework.  We meet Mondays and Wednesdays daytimes and two Thursday evenings a month.


You are invited to come check us out! The first 2 meetings are free.


CGFA offers its members the opportunity to take advantage of:
  • Classes, trunk shows and demonstrations
  • Presentations by fibre arts specialists
  • Charity projects
  • Displays of members' projects
  • Needlewok, including cross stitch and embroidery
  • Quilting projects including mystery quilts and block of the month
  • Knitting, bobbin lace making and tatting
  • Rug hooking in the traditional Maritime style
The CGFA has a number of objectives including:
  • To provide knowledge and education of fibre arts for members
  • To preserve fibre arts skills and to encourage their modern application
  • To provide opportunities to donate to the community
  • To facilitate the exhibition of members' achievements in fibre arts
  • To share guild resources
  • To gather funds to achieve these goals

Workshop: Create a Small Faceted Quilt

February 12, 2019, 9:00 - 3:00pm


Using the design and piecing techniques MJ Kinman relies

on to create her diamond portraits, you will create your

own work of faceted light.

Supply list and location will be provided upon registration.

Includes lunch, coffee and treats
